Mitchell's Mountain Highlands

Madison $1,400,000

SOLD

This high and wild tract of 206 acres  lies along the historic stage coach trail between Charlottesville and Leesburg, reputably a favorite journey of Thomas Jefferson’s.  The land encompasses much of the broad summit of Mitchell’s Mountain at elevations up to 1,500 feet above sea level.  The property has about 8 cleared acres with an old stone chimney and a stocked pond.  From the summit, panoramic 360 degree views of the Blue Ridge and the Piedmont are available with a little clearing.

This property has a rugged beauty and it is about as private as one can get in this part of the country.  It is not for the timid or faint of heart but if you love the outdoors, embrace nature and want to be free from worldly cares, this property may be for you.
